(ALTADENA, CA)  Families returning home after a wildfire should not be forced to gamble with their health. The smoke from fires that blaze through the wildland-urban interface (WUI) has far greater health impacts than smoke from wildfires in remote areas. Yet more than a year after the Eaton and Palisades fires, many residents are still living with uncertainty, fear, and risk because California lacks enforceable standards for post fire home testing.

(Sacramento, CA) - Assemblymember John Harabedian (D–Pasadena) announced that AB 512, the Timely Access to Care Act (TACA), has passed the California Legislature and is now on Governor Gavin Newsom’s desk for consideration. 

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Homeowners in wildfire-affected communities may soon get a measure of protection thanks to AB 797, the Community Stabilization Act, authored by  Assemblymember John Harabedian (D–Pasadena). The bill passed the Legislature today and is headed to Governor Gavin Newsom for signature.
